Online Workshop Series on Intellectual Property at the University of the Azores (Ciclo de Workshops em Propriedade Intelectual na Universidade dos Açores)
A series of three interactive online workshops dedicated to Intellectual Property (IP), tailored for researchers, faculty members and PhD students across the three campuses of the University of the Azores. The sessions* aim to clarify legal frameworks, collaborative R&D agreements and the patent application process, fostering innovation and knowledge transfer.
- Programme & Agenda:
- Session 1 (October 8, 2026): Intellectual Property at UAc: Legal Basis and Essential Concepts (focus on UAc’s IP Regulation)
- Session 2 (October 15, 2026): Collaborative Projects and R&D Contracts: Protecting UAc’s Interests (consortium agreements, NDAs and confidentiality)
- Session 3 (October 22, 2026): From Invention to Patent: Legal and Practical Aspects (patentability requirements, protection procedures, and drafting)
- Session structure: 5 min institutional context (UAc / InnoVamos) | 45–50 min thematic presentation | 10–15 min Q&A (extendable).
