The project organised a series of visits to companies and institutions to explore collaboration opportunities in innovation and knowledge transfer
The INNOVAMOS project has carried out this week a series of visits to strategic companies and institutions in the Canary Islands with the aim of bringing university research closer to the challenges and needs of the productive environment.
Researchers from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) and the University of La Laguna (ULL) took part in these activities, holding meetings with entities such as ASTICAN and Grupo ICOT Hospital Ciudad de Telde. The visits made it possible to gain first-hand knowledge of the challenges faced by these organisations and to explore possible lines of collaboration linked to innovation and knowledge transfer.
These meetings are part of the work carried out by INNOVAMOS to facilitate spaces for dialogue between universities, companies and institutions, helping to align the scientific and technological capacities of the academic environment with the real demands of the business and social fabric of the Canary Islands.
The project also promotes cooperation between universities and knowledge centres in Macaronesia. In this context, collaborations are being promoted between teams from the University of Madeira and ULPGC, focused on the development of innovative technologies and the exchange of complementary capacities.
INNOVAMOS is thus moving forward in its objective of strengthening the innovation ecosystem, promoting new collaboration opportunities and fostering knowledge transfer between the academic, business and institutional spheres.
The organisation of the visits was supported by the Association of Startups and Angel Investors EMERGE, which facilitated contact with entities committed to the innovative development of the Canary Islands.
