Centre for Enterprise Learning (CEL) is a Ghanaian NGO dedicated to developing skills for youth, empowering young entrepreneurs, enhancing technical and vocational education, fostering innovation, and promoting economic growth in West Africa. CEL prioritizes sustainable, high-impact programs that develop capacity rather than quick-fix solutions.
CEL’s strategic priorities focus on:
1. Youth entrepreneurship development – equipping young individuals with skills and resources to launch and scale businesses via ideation, incubation, acceleration, replication and franchising programs.
2. Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) – addressing skill gaps through training in organic waste management, green welding, renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, and more.
3. Innovation and incubation – managing hubs and co-working spaces, providing incubation and acceleration programs.CEL manages the Ghana Innovation Hub and is setting up a new Circular Economy Hub in Nsawam (peri-urban area outside of Accra).
4. Delivering high-impact projects that develop skills for youth, particularly in sectors that promote sustainability and economic growth.
5. Research and policy advocacy – conducting studies to inform sustainable enterprise models and policy recommendations.
