NONAGON is a non-profit association that manages the Science and Technology Park (STP) of São Miguel, in the Azores Autonomous Region, drives technological development and fosters qualified human capital in information and communication systems, as well as in the monitoring and observation of the earth, space, and sea. It plays a central role in promoting synergies in technology transfer within the Azorean innovation ecosystem.
NONAGON provides an ideal environment for collaboration among startups, companies, research institutions, and universities. By connecting key regional stakeholders, it contributes to building a more competitive and innovation-driven economy, based on scientific research and technological progress.
As an interface entity within the quadruple helix model, NONAGON bridges the gap between research and industry, facilitating the transfer of knowledge and technology. It offers dedicated support in identifying new business opportunities, monitoring R&D trends, managing intellectual property, and fostering investor relations. Entrepreneurs are further supported through the Go-On incubator, which provides physical and virtual incubation services.
