The Sociedad de Promoción Económica de Gran Canaria (SPEGC) is a wholly owned commercial entity under the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, operating through the Department of Economic Development, Industry, Trade, and Crafts. Its mission is to drive the island’s economic growth by fostering investment, creating and consolidating businesses, and enhancing competitiveness.
SPEGC supports both local and external entrepreneurs and investors through advisory services, public financing for innovative SMEs, and the development of strategic infrastructure and workspaces—spanning digital creative industries, blue biotechnology, aquaculture, and marine maritime sectors. It also delivers tailored training programmes and real time tourism intelligence via its SITGRAN platform.
