FCPCT

Fundación Canaria Parque Científico Tecnológico de la ULPGC (FCPCT ULPGC) is a public foundation affiliated with the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC). It hosts the university’s Knowledge Transfer Office (OTC), but its scope goes beyond knowledge transfer. FCPCT ULPGC also manages European and international research and innovation projects on behalf of the university, contributing to its strategy of internationalisation and cooperation.

The foundation plays a key role in connecting the university with public and private stakeholders at both regional and international levels. Its main areas of activity include collaborative and contract-based R&D, promotion and commercialization of knowledge (including patents, software licenses, and spin-offs), and support for entrepreneurship.

FCPCT ULPGC brings a comprehensive perspective to the knowledge transfer process, from early research development to market-oriented projects. It promotes joint strategies and facilitates the flow of knowledge and technologies between the academic and business sectors, especially in areas such as the blue economy, tourism, ICT, health, and aeronautics.

As coordinator of InnoVamos, FCPCT ULPGC leads project management and communication efforts, while also supporting the capacity building of knowledge transfer professionals. With extensive experience in funding programmes, it has coordinated or participated in over a dozen projects, managing more than €3.9 million in Interreg MAC funds alone.
